Sometimes kids need a little help learning to write book reports. Use these third-grade book report worksheets to help your child understand book report writing.
For me, book reports used to be the worst of all things in school. I struggled so much with writing about what I had read.
I loved to read and would read chapter books in a day.
The biggest problems I had were knowing what information to include and how to organize it.
A book report template would have saved me (and my poor mom) hours of frustration!
These printable pages will be very helpful to your new book report writer.
The template pages guide your child to provide specific information. They will write in the following:
- Book title
- Author
- Book setting
- Main characters
- Short summary
- Book ending
The book report forms are similar. Your child will also describe their favorite part and character, a different ending, and a book rating.
Other topics include describing the characters’ obstacles and adding their thoughts about characters.
Your child will become familiar with the basic idea of how to write a book report with these pages.
