Homeschoolers love Pinterest.
The entire world seems to LOVE Pinterest!
Pinterest is a wonderful visual resource to organize your favorite things in life. As homeschoolers we love finding neat ideas and cool resources – that’s a given. Many homeschoolers use Pinterest to categorize and save projects, theme-ideas, homeschool freebies, and more. I have boards on Affording the Homeschool Life which offers creative money saving ideas for homeschool families. I also host the Ultimate Homeschool Board which has over 100 pinners and *almost* 10,000 followers.
What is the new Ultimate Homeschool Pinterest Party?
I’ve seen an increase in Pinning Parties online. These are link-ups where people share their favorite pins. Some are on a certain topic or theme. I thought it was time to combined our love of Pinterest and all-things-homeschooling in the new Ultimate HOMESCHOOL PINTEREST weekly party!
*If you are a blogger this is a great way to share your content, increase your followers, and have your pins repinned!
*If you are NOT a blogger this is a great party to find the BEST homeschool ideas, resources, projects, and more!
This linky will start every Saturday and will remain open all week.
Here’s how you can play along! It’s easy peasy.
Choose one or all of the following:
- Link up your main Pinterest account {personal profile}
- Link up to 3 of your top homeschool Pinterest pins
- Link up 1 of your top homeschool boards
PLEASE do the following:
- Please PIN this post! It’ll help spread the word about this new party!
- Follow others who are linking up in the party on Pinterest.
- PIN at least 5 pins from this list {of course you can pin more!}
What will you receive?
- You will receive new Pinterest followers.
- Your pins will be repinned and shared by a large homeschool audience.
- Find new and exciting homeschool content!
- Weekly you have a chance to have your pin featured in the following weeks link-up. Each week I’ll pick 3-5 pins to highlight!
5/27/13 UPDATE: Ladies, I’ve noticed that a few of you have linked up your blogs. I know that a Pinterest party is something new. You need to link your Pinterest accounts.
Here’s an example:
- Link your Pinterest profile. This URL looks like this: http://pinterest.com/homeschooldeals/ <—Here’s an example of my Pinterest profile.
- Link ONE of your boards. Here’s an example of what this URL looks like –> http://pinterest.com/homeschooldeals/ultimate-homeschool-board/
- Link up to THREE of your top pins. Here’s how a pin URL appears –> http://pinterest.com/pin/284923113897926235/
Links to blogs and blog post will be deleted – sorry! This is so there is enough room for everyone to share their Pinterest accounts and pins.
Follow the Ultimate Homeschool Board!

I love this idea! This is so fun finding new pinners to follow and new ideas! Thanks for coming up with it :).
I’m seen other flavors of this idea out there online. I thought that homeschoolers needed a Pinterest party too! 😉
Thanks so much for doing this – I got lost in Pinterest for an hour tonight!! 🙂
This was such a Great idea!! Thank You! 😀
Oh, that’s a fun place to be! 😉
Jamerrill, it’s so kind of you to make this available to us. I am having so much fun finding new pinners to follow. Thank you.
I keep getting stuck on Pinterest though, Melanie! You’ll need to come up with an intervention for us – ha 😉
Thank you for this! I LOVE Pinterest. 😀
Thank you for this! I am not on Pinterest, but I like to look around from time to time and get my own ideas. I really appreciate all you do for us! Thanks again! 🙂
Thanks so much for hosting! This is great!
You rock, Jamerrill! You have the most amazing ideas. Thanks for giving people a chance to share the blessings.
Susan, there are several Pinterest parties already happening in different niches, so I didn’t invent the Pinterest party (although I wish I had 😉 ). But we homeschoolers deserve our own! I hope it’s a fun event for everyone each week.
Not to sound ignorant, but how do I “link”??? Kinda new to all this stuff!
sorry, but me too. totally don’t get how/ what I’m meant to do but as new homeschooler could really benefit from ideas, compacted in the one place to save time, (cause let’s admit it, there is never enough!). Appreciate the help for a non computer literate person.
I will try to do a tutorial post for you ladies this week. Do you have a Pinterest account?
yep, all i’ve done so far is press ‘follow’ and ‘pin’ and learned how to put things into folders.

Hey Jersey, share your links above in the linky where it says “add your link.” That way everyone can find your pins easily. 🙂
Jamerrill,
This is such a great idea. I am new to homeschooling, blogging and pinning! I have found pinterest to be an amazing resource and I’ve been wondering how I can “connect” with other homeschoolers. I feel like this will be a great avenue and I am excited to begin this journey! Thank you. Colleen
It’s wonderful to meet you, Collen. The party is certainly an opportunity to connect with many other homeschoolers online. Thanks for linking up!
Yes I have a pinterest account..a tutorial would be awesome!! Will keep looking for it!
Have you thought anymore about a tutorial for linking up? Been looking for it!
Jenny, it is on my list and I hope to get one down soon. I have a lot of reading friends asking for this.
