Voting time is coming up this fall! You can start teaching your kids about voting and give them a little practice with The Cookie Campaign Mock Election FREE Printable Pack from FHD!

You can use this in a variety of ways and under different subjects and themes. Include this great printable in multiple subjects. Inside the pack, you will find voter registration cards, candidate images, voting cards, and voting pins! With this resource mixed in with a few others, you can build a whole voting unit!
Build an understanding of the voting system
Develop a unit around this resource and discuss how the voting system works in the United States. If your child is old enough, they can do a bit of research on different parts of the election process and see how each piece of the cookie campaign flows into the other.
Use these US election cards or these Election Task Cards to teach your child about the system and build new vocabulary to help them create their own campaign for the different cookies!
Create a campaign and a mock election
With the cookie candidates, have your child build a campaign and prepare a mock election! They can gather the voters, prepare the campaign materials, and provide all the resources for the election. Check out another mock election resource for inspiration!
Write speeches to present the best sides of each candidate
Implement cross-curricular instruction and work on literacy skills along with learning about voting. Have your child prepare speeches for each of the different candidates. They can present them and practice their public speaking skills, or they can write them down. You can also include a lesson on how to write persuasively!
Create a vote collection system
Have your child decide how they want to collect votes. Do they want to use an online survey or paper ballots? Then, once they decide, add a little math practice into the activity by having them prepare a way to present their data. For example, they could create a bar graph or a pie chart, similar to these bar graph resources!
Get others to join
This is a great resource to use in a homeschool co-op because it works better with more people. Your child can work in a group or with a partner, or the other students could be the people involved in the voting process. If you don’t have access to a homeschool co-op, then gather other family members to take part in the cookie campaign!

When I tried to download the Cookie Campaign, the link that was automatically downloaded was a 30 day Lego Challenge. Is there somewhere I can go to get the Cookie Campaign download?
