Learning sight words is important for developing reading skills. This fun s’mores sight words activity is a hands-on way to review them.
Now that fall is here, campfire evenings will be some of our favorite activities. No campfire evening is complete without making s’mores!
S’mores are wonderful, warm, gooey treats, perfect for a cool fall night.
Do your children enjoy making s’mores? Or perhaps they just love the marshmallows!
Either way, your children will have a great time with these s’mores-themed sight word mats.
To use these mats, print them onto paper or cardstock. Laminate them for durability and to keep them clean.
There are a few different ways your child can work with these mats.
Use a dry-erase marker and invite your child to trace the words. Encourage them to practice reading them as they trace.
Another way to use them is to shape the words using miniature marshmallows. This is definitely a tasty way to practice sight words.
Your child can also use these printables as playdough mats. Using play dough, your child can recreate the word by shaping the dough to make the letters.
