Early math skills include recognizing digits and number words. This preschool write and count activity is an engaging way to practice both skills.
This activity will make learning to count and write numbers fun. Learning is always more fun with games!
What’s great about this activity is you only need to print one page! You can laminate the sheet or place it in a plastic sheet protector and reuse it multiple times.
To get started, print the page and laminate it or use a plastic sheet protector.
Gather a dye, dry-erase marker, and a soft cloth to wipe the page clean. You will also need six tiny manipulatives such as pompoms or erasers.
Your child will roll the dye and count the number of dots.
Next, write the number word for that digit in the second box.
Lastly, count out the number of manipulatives and place them in the third box.
Wipe the page and roll again!
You can make this more challenging by adding a second dye. You might also be able to find a dye with up to twenty sides and twenty numbers!
