Summer doesn’t technically start until June 20th, but I think June 1st kicks it off! Don’t miss this free preschool summer count and clip activity to practice all season long.
Maybe you haven’t stopped for summer break yet, or maybe your learning continues through summertime.
Do you use practice activities and games for some fun review time? I figure if my kids will be doing summer learning, I should make it fun!
It is proven that learning through a game encourages willingness and improves retention. And who wouldn’t want to have a little fun while learning?
These count and trace cards are the perfect activity for practicing number recognition. The bright, colorful theme is perfectly fitting for summer practice.
The set includes ten different cards to review numbers one through ten.
Each card shows a number of objects. Challenge your child to count each object and then identify that digit at the bottom of the card.
Next, your child will place a clip on the square with that digit in it.
Finally, they can use a pencil to trace the digit.
This multi-step activity will really get them thinking. Following the different steps help them develop problem-solving skills, too!
To get more use out of these cards you can laminate them. Offer your child a dry erase marker to do the tracing part.
