Identifying and drawing shapes are some of the important things preschoolers learn. Use this preschool shape tracing activity during your lessons about shapes.

Once children learn about shapes and their names, they recognize them easily.
Pointing out shapes then becomes a fun activity. Cookies are circles, windows are squares, and envelopes are rectangles.
Learning about shapes also helps children develop skills in comparing and grouping.
An activity with complex directions helps teach children focus, problem-solving, and abstract thinking.
This activity reviews two strategies. Your child will identify the shapes and then trace them with crayons or markers in the corresponding color.
Examples of each shape and its color are located across the top of the page.
The shapes your child will identify are triangles, squares, rectangles, circles, ovals, and hearts.
The colors include red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.
If you wish, you can laminate this page to reuse it and make it more durable. The colors on the page can all be found in packs of dry-erase markers.
When your child completes the page, they can wipe it clean for next time.
