Do you enjoy implementing playdough activities into everyday learning? Try this preschool playdough learning activity for a hands-on way to teach your child all about books.
As homeschool parents, we encourage our children to love and appreciate books. It makes sense to teach them all about the different book parts.
When we teach them about these parts, we can also demonstrate proper book treatment and care.
This fun activity will help your child learn to identify the parts of a book. These parts are the cover, spine, title, author, and illustrator.
The first part of the activity is an introduction page. Your child can trace the word on the page and use playdough to cover the book or color it.
A worksheet will challenge your child to identify the parts by letter matching with a word bank. This page can also be colored.
The last pages can be printed and laminated for using playdough. Your child can trace the words with a dry-erase marker.
Incorporate playdough fun by shaping the dough and marking the part. Any of the pages can be colored instead.
