Hands-on activities are excellent resources for teaching early learners. These preschool counting playdough mats will help your child with numbers 1 through 10.
Do your kids love playing with playdough?
Molding playdough is an excellent sensory experience for children. Exploring with sensory play spurs creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.
If other concepts are tied into sensory play, several of the senses are engaged. This works to help children grasp concepts more thoroughly and quickly.
Use these counting playdough mats for a fun and creative way to teach your child to count.
Each mat features one number. The numbers are expressed with a digit, number word, ten-frame, and objects to count.
To use the mats, print them onto cardstock. Laminate them or place them in plastic sleeves for protection from oils in the dough.
Offer your child a mat. Invite them to read the number and number word, then count the objects.
Next, have your child mold a few pieces of playdough to cover the digit and the number word.
If you wish, you can also invite your child to roll little balls of playdough to place in the ten-frame.
