Wintertime is here and polar animal studies are plentiful. Tie in this striking polar bear kid’s craft with your polar animal unit study.
Polar animals are fascinating because of their ability to survive in brutally cold climates. From puffins to polar bears, each has special attributes to protect them from the cold.
Polar bears are the only bears that are classified as marine mammals. They spend most of their lives on the Arctic ice and depend on the ocean for their food.
This craft is a great companion project for a study about polar bears. It is easy enough for most children to do and requires very few materials.
Use the polar bear printable template to trace the pieces of your polar bear. Cut the pieces from white paper and assemble them on black cardstock.
A paper punch will make perfectly-sized ears and a nose.
Add googly eyes for a fun and silly polar bear face.
With a white chalk marker, add snowflakes to your black background. If you prefer, use tiny stickers or dots of glitter glue to make your snowflakes.
