If your children are learning place value, they may need to practice to master it. These place value practice activities focus on reviewing tens and ones places.
Learning place value can be difficult for some kids. Understanding the concepts may take time and review.
Mastering skills in place value is important because many other skills are built on them. Multiplication, regrouping, and decimals are a few of those skills.
Building a strong foundation in basic concepts like place value makes it easier to learn future concepts.
One of my children had a very hard time with place value. Practicing with different approaches helped her master it.
This four-page set of activities will accompany your lessons perfectly.
On the first page, your child will identify the number represented by a ten base and ones. They will write the numbers in the blanks once they finish counting.
On the second page, the instructions are similar but include two additional steps.
The last two pages are a printable game mat and the parts needed to play. Your child will roll two dice, count, then use the mat to place the tens and ones on.
