Does your little writer need help with learning to size letters correctly? This fun patriotic letter sizing worksheet will give them the practice they need.
It is common for children who are learning to write to make oversized letters. Their fine motor skills are still developing and it just takes practice.
Even when using manuscript paper with clear boundaries, writing can be a struggle.
I remember my teachers handing out manuscript paper when I was in kindergarten. If the paper was blank, the lines just confused me.
Using a practice method like this letter sizing worksheet can help train little hand muscles.
When your child reads the word in the first column, they will notice the box pattern around it.
In the second column is the matching box pattern. Your child will then locate the matching empty box pattern and draw a line to connect them.
After matching, your child can practice writing that word into the empty boxes.
This is a great handwriting activity theme for this time of year. Memorial Day recently passed, while Flag Day and Independence Day are coming soon!
