If your future homeschool lessons include butterflies, don’t miss this freebie. Your preschooler will love these colorful, number sense butterfly activity printables.
I’ve never met a child who wasn’t fascinated by butterflies. They are truly one of God’s most delicate and dazzling creations.
They come in different shapes and sizes, and in all the colors of the rainbow.
Monarchs are orange and black, swallowtails are yellow and black, cloudless sulfurs are bright yellow. My favorite is the monarch butterfly.
Some of our favorite past science lessons were about caterpillars becoming butterflies. My children had many questions about metamorphosis, and I learned some new things also.
Colorful flowers will attract butterflies to your yard. Enjoy watching them with your little ones!
Your child can create their own butterflies with number sense activities on them.
The wings of each butterfly are divided into four sections. The sections feature a number word, a picture to color, a ten frame, and a tally section.
There are two butterflies, purple and yellow, that can be printed in multiples. The number sense activities include numbers one to twelve.
Take your butterfly activity one step further and decorate them with glitter or stickers! Grab more butterfly-themed printables below:
