Math review worksheets can sometimes be boring and tedious. This middle school math challenge is a fun review activity that will stir things up a bit!
Practice worksheets definitely have their time and place in our lesson plans. They offer essential skills review and help us determine what concepts our children need help with.
From our own experience and the occasional moans from our children, we know worksheets can be monotonous.
This worksheet is actually an “about me” activity. It turns facts like a birthday, places visited, and number of pets into solvable equations!
Your child will enjoy taking the values and building their own personal equations. Solving them might be just a little more fun, too.
There are many different ways your child can create their equations. They are encouraged to be creative and use decimals, fractions, and even square roots.
Although this is suited to middle schoolers, it could be used for upper elementary also.
If you have multiple students on the same level, have them finish creating their math expressions. Next, have them exchange sheets and then solve them!
