Magformers are a Homeschool MUST HAVE!
Magformers are all the rage in the hands-on learning and tactile homeschool world. We quickly found out about the amazing magnetic fun that can take place with a set of Magformers. I shared this picture of Liam throughly enjoying his Magformers construction play set that has proved to provide hours of creative exploration around here. Liam is almost five and enjoys building and creating with these magnetic genius toys.
Magformers are literally the coolest manipulatives that I’ve seen in years! That’s saying a lot coming from a homeschooling mom who has been at this awhile. 🙂 Magformers are very strong shapes that transform into vibrant geometric creations that support around the edges with firm magnets.
Magformers Homeschool
Your child can build for hours creating simple designs such as houses to rockets ships, or more complex custom-made creations. The possibilities are endless with a box of Magformers at the homeschool table! You can even build a complete Magformers Walking Robot!
Most sets are suggested for ages 5-12. However at our house even Miss Amelia (almost 3) enjoys hands-on learning with mommy and a set of Magformers at the kitchen table (excuse the dishes in the background 😉 Amelia likes to make houses and fish with her Magformers. Additionally learners with special needs can use Magformers to build a variety of important skills!
What Magformers Sets Are Available?
We have the 30-piece Magformer set which includes 18 squares and 12 triangles in vibrant colors! This was an excellent set for our family to start with. Now that I see our children’s love for creating with Magformers (I’ll admit that even my husband, tween, and teen have been spotted creating with this set when its left out of the table ;), it will make it fun to add to their collection!
These Magformer’s Themed Sets look amazing for engineering speciality themed projects such as dinosaurs, deep sea creators, forrest friends, safari fun, and emergency worker heroes!
The Magformers Challenger Set contains 112 pieces which includes 48 triangles, 46 squares, 4 hexagons, 12 pentagons, 2 wheels and more! I’m keeping this kit in my Educents wishlist to pick up for someone’s upcoming birthday. There are so many targeted activities, plus enough shapes to really let the imaginations run wild!
There are many more Magformer Sets available from Educents. As FHD readers you can use the special coupon code FHDeals10 to take an additional 10% off your order! What will your children build with Magformers?
