I remember learning to tell time in school. I never really “got it” before my class had to move on to the next lesson. If you think for a moment, there is technology all around us that displays the time easily for our kids. This makes it harder and harder for our kids to learn to tell time unless we intentionally make it a point to teach them. It is still important to learn time from an analog clock. Kids understand how time passes with the hands of the clock which constantly moves. It is also important analog clocks show time in multiples of five which is hard to teach with digital clocks.
