Is your young learner ready for letter tracing in your homeschool? This letter-U FREE tracing worksheet will be a great addition to your letter tracing practice worksheets for kids.
I have read in an article that tracing can sometimes do more harm than good when kids are learning to write. I disagree.
There are clear benefits of teaching kids to trace. Tracing, initially, helps kids with their fine motor sills.
Tracing improves hand-eye coordination, their dexterity (hand skills/performance) and spatial awareness.
All of these are precursors for kids to start using their hands for making letters and writing.
Then once your kids have tracing down, they are able to begin tracing letters. Tracing letters are a great way for your children to also memorize letters of the alphabet and learn to write them neatly and clearly.
Once kids can identify and recognize letters their next gradual move is to learn their formation. I feel this would have really helped my son with his writing skills had I been able to give him more practice.
