Do you have a preschooler or kindergartener learning about shapes? This fun kids’ scavenger hunt with shapes is an entertaining way to practice identifying shapes.
Recognizing shapes is one of the basic elements of early childhood education. Children can point out shapes all around them once they learn to recognize them.
It’s amazing to watch them point out the shapes they recognize at home or around town.
Houses and windows are shaped in squares, rectangles, and triangles. The wheels on the car are circles and stop signs are hexagons.
This scavenger hunt can be done inside or outside. You may want to print it onto cardstock so that it is more durable.
If you enjoy walks around your neighborhood or park, take this printable with you. See how many shapes your child can find by exploring your street or playground.
A rainy day is also a great time to do a shape scavenger hunt. Walk around the house or grab a few books and invite your child to search them for shapes.
Perhaps you have a bucket of blocks to search for shapes. Your child can even build the shapes using Legos!
