Patterns can be found all around us in our daily lives. Use these fun preschool pattern worksheets in your lessons about patterns.
Recognizing patterns in early learning helps children logically determine “what comes next.” Learning to make logical predictions and connections is part of developing excellent reasoning skills.
Children easily learn to recognize patterns. Piano keys, a kitten’s stripes, and slats of a fence are easily recognized patterns.
A child might also recognize patterns on a checkerboard or a tile floor.
Practicing pattern recognition with worksheets is a fun way to engage your child.
These pages are filled with cheerful images you and your child will enjoy. They brightly are colored with blanks areas for your child to color in as they are guided.
To be more creative with your pattern pages, tell a short story that incorporates the shapes. Prompt your child to finish the patterns when you finish your story.
Consider using cardstock to print your pages and allow your child to dab their pattern choices with finger paint.
Keep your pages in a binder and travel with them for some quiet time in the car.
