This St. Patrick’s Day Place Value Activity is a unique way to use manipulatives to practice math concepts. It’s the perfect math activity for the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day!
123 Homeschool 4 Me has a pot of gold activity to practice place value. There is the main pot of gold mat. There are also pot of gold cards with a number inside along with hundreds, tens, and ones coins at the top. Along with the pot mat and cards come hundreds, tens, and ones cards. Your child will need to build the number in the pot with these cards. So, if 54 is inside the pot, then they need 5 tens and 4 ones. There is also a recording sheet that accompanies this activity. This place value activity can be used over and over to help your child understand place value and gain confidence in number sense.
