Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Beth at 123 Homeschool 4 Me created a cute set of Valentine’s-Themed Short I Word Mats!
There is a bit of prep to cut out the picture and letter cards, but if you print on cardstock and laminate them, you can use them over and over! There are heart mats on which to place the picture card and the CVC word! Make sure your child knows what each of the pictures is before you practice spelling them together. It’s a great way to practice short I CVC words with a Valentine’s-theme!
