You can get free science curriculum from the Nutrients for Life Foundation. This free curriculum consists of six lessons on plant and soil science. There are lesson plans available for elementary school and also for middle & high school.
Nutrients for Life submitted the following information:
“Our mission is to provide science-based information to educate students about the benefits of fertilizer. Fertilizer, as defined, means “a chemical or natural substance added to soil or land to increase its fertility” including synthetic fertilizer, compost, manure, etc. Fertilizer is responsible for 50 percent of our world’s food production. The nutrients found in fertilizer enhance soil fertility and minimize losses to the environment when applied using best management practices. The free materials and resources we provide are created with support of agronomists, the International Plant Nutrition Institute, the Smithsonian Institute, and BSCS (Biological Sciences Curriculum Study). All of our generous donors are listed in the back of each spring magazine issue, which is available for download from our website. Materials requests from homeschool teachers have recently exploded and we are proud to provide excellent resources for this community in the form of Homeschool Kits. The kits include the appropriate level curriculum, as well as other great learning materials like posters and flashcards. Order Homeschool Kits at http://www.nutrientsforlife.
You have the option to download the free science curriculum or you can order free materials here.

Doesn’t look like they support homeschoolers ordering materials anymore. From the site- The Nutrients for Life Foundation’s crop nutrient and soil science resources are available for traditional school settings and large crop nutrient education opportunities. Educators outside of the U.S. and nontraditional educators (i.e. homeschools) may take advantage of the Foundation’s digital resources, including downloadable curriculum or interactive lessons.
