When I think of flowers I think of a friend I had from New Zealand who absolutely loves flowers. She came into my life at a really dark time.
Yet, here came this precious woman, full of life wearing bright colors and always making me smile when I felt like no one but my kids could make me smile.
She was staying where I lived for about a year or two and she brought a little spark of joy to me while she was here.
What I remember was that her dresses and skirts would always have flowers and her hair always had a flower in it.
When we drove together she would literally make me stop by flower patches to take pictures of them, of her and the flowers, or just selfies of us with the flowers.
What beautiful memories she gave me and with those memories, she gave me an affinity to flowers. I grew to love them and appreciate them so much more.
