When I was a Sunday school teacher and in children’s church, my kids’ favorite activity (indoors) was 1. dancing and 2. playdough. Besides kids loving to make creations, playdough has good benefits for young learners. Use these free printable winter playdough cards for lots of playdough fun and learning.

These kids of mine in the church could dance and go on the playdough table the whole time. I tried to incorporate playdough often in helping them make items from the Bible stories we were studying that day. Children tend to learn better when they are stimulated by two different actions at once. Like listening to a Bible story then manipulating playdough helps them retain the information easier.
Playdough also helps kids build gross motor skills, provides a creative outlet, and encourages the use of imagination.
