Do you love teaching two lessons in one? Me too! This free Pi color wheel activity will teach and help kids visualize the first 100 digits of Pi while teaching about the RGB (red/green/blue) color wheel.
This mathematics, technology, and art resource will engage your students in various aspects of their learning process.
Color wheels:
There are two different types of color wheels the red/green/blue (RGB) and the red/yellow/blue (RYB).
These color wheels are used by artists for color mixing. Each color wheel has 12 main colors and is divided into primary, secondary, and tertiary colors.
Pi:
Pi (p) is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to a diameter. Many of us know this already but Pi is 3.1415. This unique number has been studied by countless mathematicians and have discovered trillions of digits of Pi.
This resource brings the beauty of these two educational aspects into one activity to maximize learning.
