Sometimes nests are found in trees, but sometimes they are in places you wouldn’t expect. In big cities where trees are scarce, they build nests under building overhangs, on electric poles, or other high places.
We used to hunt for bird nests when I was a child. We were thrilled to find one with eggs in it but took care not to disturb it.
Occasionally we would find an abandoned nest with only empty eggshells in it. We would find tiny feathers and other soft materials inside.
