Horses are beautiful and fascinating animals to study. Your child can learn all about equine anatomy with these free horse copywork pages.
There is something unexplainably magical about horses. Observing and interacting with them evokes a sense of awe and wonder.
Handling horses requires caution and a great deal of respect for them. Learning about their bodies, abilities, and temperaments is a very important part of caring for horses.
Another important part of understanding horses is learning about their anatomy. This 28-page set of copywork identifies all of the major body parts of a horse.
The first few pages list all of the terms with a description of each part and its function. A labeled diagram page shows where all of the parts are located.
Subsequent pages feature each term and its description. Manuscript-style lines offer plenty of space for handwriting the text two to three times.
Your child will learn the meanings of words like cannon, muzzle, and withers. They can explore the diagram to understand where each part is located.
Take this copywork activity one step further and challenge your child to draw or trace their own horse and label it.
