Sometimes our families can get into the habit of being ungrateful. Work on a solution together with this free gratitude family activity.
It is really easy to notice when someone else is being ungrateful. They complain and are disagreeable if things don’t go their way.
Noticing ungratefulness in ourselves is a little harder. Being forced to evaluate our own hearts or having someone point it out is sometimes what it takes.
As parents, we have to be on our guard. Our children take their cues from us.
When things go wrong at home, we have to find ways to correct them. Using creative methods is great way to point things out without pointing fingers.
This gratitude jar activity is a family-centered, creative method for addressing gratitude at home.
To use this activity, simply print the jar onto paper or cardstock. You’ll want to use colored ink to make it more decorative.
Attach your jar to a bulletin board, wall, or somewhere everyone can see it.
Each family member will write, draw, or doodle things they are thankful for. Keep on adding things until the jar is full!
