One of the most important things a Christian can do is teach their children the Bible. Homeschooling is so special because it affords us the time to educate our children in the faith.
We also need to teach our students the history of the Christian faith. As they learn Church history, middle and high school students will develop a greater understanding of world history, worldview, philosophy, and theology. That knowledge will help them understand the error and truth in the various teachings they’ll encounter over their lifetime.
The heroes and villains of the Christian faith make up our family tree, and students benefit from taking a hard look at that tree, learning where we came from, how it influenced where we are now, and why our traditions look the way they do.
