Geoboards are math manipulatives that help students better understand geometric concepts.
You can use geoboards for teaching perimeter, area, and characteristics of shapes with angles. They are great for demonstrating isosceles, scalene, and right triangles.
Using a geoboard framework is also helpful for identifying all sorts of geometric shapes. You can also create shapes within shapes to add complexity.
These geoboard pages include built-in patterns for your child to identify shapes from.
Each page features a geoboard in the shape of a letter of the alphabet.
Your child can carefully survey the page and look for the shapes found in the bank. They can color the shapes inside the letter to identify them.
At the bottom of each page, you’ll find a manuscript line. Your child can trace the letter on the line multiple times and then write it on the line below.
To reuse these pages, laminate them or place them in protective sleeves. Use dry-erase markers to trace and color.
