One of my favorite things to do is sit on my back porch and watch the birds at the feeders. There are so many different types, sizes, and colors!
I can take up-close pictures of our backyard birds with a zoom lens. Taking pictures requires a lot of patience, and I have to wait quietly for them.
We regularly see cardinals, titmouse, wrens, chickadees, thrushes, bluebirds, finches, woodpeckers, and hummingbirds. One of the woodpeckers is over twelve inches long!
We research birds we don’t recognize. We are always curious when a different type of bird finds its way to the feeders.
You’ll find lots of printable birdwatching activities in this huge collection.
