Exploring the wonders of the human body is a great way to share God’s amazing handiwork with your children. Teach your children about how perfectly God made them with this five senses science mini-book.
Children are constantly learning about themselves and about the world around them through what they see and feel. They soak up information like little sponges, surprising us at times with the things they remember.
Mini books are a great way to reinforce simple concepts and for sight word practice. They can be used for writing practice and letter recognition as well.
This cute senses mini book prints two half pages per sheet, identifying a sense on each half page. There are words to trace, and the pictures can be colored.
Print the pages and cut them first, then staple one edge to create your book. Have your child trace and color the pages as you discuss the senses and why each one is important.
To enhance your mini book lesson, find an object that allows your child to explore each sense. For example, use an apple to discuss feel, smell, taste, touch, and sound (the crunch when bitten)!
