Science is involved in one way or another in almost everything we do. When we turn on a light, swim in a pool, or brush our teeth, scientific facts can be discovered.
We can use common, inexpensive ingredients found in the grocery store to learn some fascinating things. Combining, heating or cooling materials can cause different reactions and can even cause physical changes.
You’ll find many easy experiments in this list of edible science activities. There are activities for children of any age group, from preschool to high school.
Younger children will enjoy the edible sensory foam made from two common kitchen items – chickpeas and cream of tartar! Food coloring is optional for this experiment.
