One of the most common preschool activities is tracing letters and words. Use this fun back to school tracing activity for your preschool writing lessons.
Most children recognize basic school supplies by sight.
My daughter could recognize a bottle of glue and knew what it was for. However, she wasn’t familiar with the word “glue.”
This activity will familiarize your child with the words for basic school supplies.
To get started, print the pages you wish. They are full of color and cute, schoolish graphics.
Invite your child to identify the picture in the first section.
Read the word with your child, and practice saying the letters with them.
Allow your child plenty of time to trace the letters in the word.
As an alternative, print the sheets onto cardstock. Laminate them for durability, and to be able to reuse them.
Offer your child a dry-erase marker to trace each of the words.
Your child will be able to do this activity as many times as they like. It will save you the extra ink and you will also be able to use it for multiple children.
