If you have a preschooler who loves playdough, don’t miss these alphabet playdough learning mats.
Kids love using playdough to create things.
My own children also love using playdough. They have quite a collection of cutters, rollers, and molds to shape their dough.
Playdough mats are the perfect hands-on activity for young children. They combine learning concepts with fine motor skills, which helps reinforce what they learn.
These alphabet mats will help your children practice shaping the letters of the alphabet.
To get started, print the mats onto cardstock and separate them. You will want to laminate them to protect them from the oils in your dough and to make them durable.
Lay the dough out for your child and give them a mat to use. They will shape and mold the dough onto the mat in the shape of the letter.
At the bottom of each card, you’ll find words that begin with the letter on the card.
Also included is a tracing exercise for your to child practice handing each letter. Your child can use a dry-erase marker for this part of the activity.
