Do your little ones need something different for practicing addition? This addition wheels practice activity offers lots of practice in a unique format.
Adding numbers accurately is an important skill for students to develop. It is a skill that is used constantly throughout our lives.
Learning basic addition facts gives lays the foundation for when they eventually work with larger numbers.
Once they learn the basic addition facts, they can move on to add more complex numbers.
Students will continue to build on addition facts throughout elementary school.
These addition wheels are all set up with numbers 1 through 10. The numbers to be added are in the center of each wheel and range from 1 to 20.
The first wheel shows “1+” in the center. Your child will move around the wheel, add 1 to each number, and write the answers in the blanks.
As your child moves from wheel to wheel, the numbers go up.
Your child may need extra paper to work out problems with double digits and carrying.
These pages can be laminated so that your child can practice the problems more than once.
