It is so funny that there would be a dandelion cookbook! Not too long ago, my grandmother-in-law was telling me that her mom or grandmother (can’t remember which) would make dandelion jelly when she was a child. Since our backyard is overrun with them I was wondering where in the world I might find a recipe for it. It still sound a little strange to me, but it’s free so it’s worth a try! 🙂
I just wanted to say thank you for all the wonderful sources you share! You are a busy woman, and I really appreciate the time you put into this. Thank you! Thank you!!
Let me know how that works out, Stephanie. I was thinking of trying Honeysuckle jelly this Summer, too. 🙂
Thank you for posting FREE Kindle titles. Dining Downloads and Inspired Reads and even Pixel of Ink have started just showing inexpensive but not FREE titles so we all really do appreciate the time you put into this site. Thank you!
The dandelion leaves are pretty good in a salad! I have never used the stems, but from what I remember as a child, they were just so-so. I can’t use any of the dandelions in my yard. Yikes. My husband put out weed and feed on the lawn!
Honeysuckle is AMAZING! I hope you do get to make the honeysuckle jelly this summer! I would if I had any access to it! Tell us all if it works out!
I will let you know how it works out, Heather. We seem to have miles of honeysuckle. I think the kids will enjoy making it at least 🙂
I know a lot of sites have stopped or slowed way down with the free Kindle books. Amazon has limited the number of free downloads a site can have or that site can loose their affiliate earnings. Finding the free Kindle books is so quick for me that I even share them without the affiliate link. This way Amazon won’t ding me. 🙂 Everyone loves the free books, and it’s how I find great reads for us too!
I handpick all my dandelions from my lawn and pass along to my 86 year old neighbor, who loves to eat the leaves in salads or plain, cook them and also steep the roots for tea. Lots of bang for your buck with dandelions!
